My children go to the Southside, but I toured the Northside location as well. It was very difficult to decide which location to send our children to because both places made such great impressions with us. Both tours were fantastic, we had our tour on the southside with their director Angela and the owner of Miranda gave us our tour of the Northside. Both locations were organized and were very clean, and although I was initially concerned about the painted concrete floors, I chose to send my children to the southside location and do not regret it in the least. While all of the educators that we met at both locations were very friendly and welcoming, I have to say that the educators who we have come to know at the southside location are truly amazing. My kids have learned so much since they started, they have done a complete 180. We used to go to a different but it was not a good fit for our family. Now the kids are excited to see their teachers every day and can’t wait to get ready to go to “school” in the mornings. The daycare may not be flashy and fancy, but they make up for it with excellent quality of care that my children receive.

My niece has gone to both of the children’s academy daycares in Fredericton. The teachers are all amazing and she was always very excited to go to preschool. She was more hah ready for kindergarten in the fall, she could count in English and French, knew all her colours in English and French, and she knew shapes that even I had forgotten since being out school! They go on 2 or 3 big field trips every year and they take a lot of smaller field trips especially in the summer. Also my sister was very relieved when she was able to switch from one location to the other when she moved, it wasn’t a hassle at all because they both have the same owner.

My oldest daughter attended the after school program here. She stayed right until she was old enough to go home on the bus and stay by herself. I found that all of the teachers at the daycare were awesome and no matter who I spoke to they always had feedback for me on how her afternoon was. I love that they have a really large playground and a big grass area out back where the older kids can run and play soccer or play in the snow in the winter. My daughter was always excited to go and never had any complaints. She made lots of friends and still keeps in touch with some even though she is no longer at GNES. I have actually registered my younger two girls to attend the new pepper creek location later this fall and we can’t wait! I chose the one in pepper creek this time because we recently moved and live right up the road from it!

My son is in the Junior Toddler classroom at the Children’s Academy. He absolutely loves it! I was amazed by how quickly he adjusted to daycare. The kindness and compassion of the educators made the transition so much easier than I expected, especially for me! I never find myself worrying about him throughout the day; I have no doubt that he is in skilled and caring hands!
He is constantly doing new things at home that he has learned throughout the day and he brings home the most wonderful and inventive crafts. He is also so happy to see his educators and friends in the morning. I love seeing how much fun he is having when I pick him up in the afternoon and hearing about his day from his educators.
My son tends to observe before jumping in, and I was a little worried that the transition to a group care setting would be difficult for us both, but his educators have been so attuned to his needs and seem to know just the right ways and times to engage him. They are always there with encouragement or a snuggle when he needs it. It is so wonderful to have such a loving and educational environment to leave him in where I know that he will learn and be nurtured!

I have one child in the Toddler classroom. My daughter loves everyday that she spends there! She can't wait to take her boots off in the mornings so she can go say her hellos and play with her friends and teachers. They do lots of crafts and activities. It amazes me how much she learns everyday! I feel so comfortable leaving my daughter with all the amazing staff and educators. I never have anything to worry about through the day!

I have 3 children: Boys, ages 10 and 7, and a girl, age 6.
When I found myself needing immediate full time childcare for my preschooler, I found Miranda Grant through a trusted friend who had a younger daughter in her care. Thrilled with how happily my one girl settled in, I asked if there would be room for my boys in the summer, as some of the children would be leaving with the end of the school year. Working moms know, one stop to drop off or pick up your little ones gives you all more time together at home!
I did worry how my eldest would enjoy his time there as he would be older than most. It turned out FANTASTIC. He will tell you it was one of his best summers. In a very nurturing, yet structured and organized setting, the children all had a different story to tell of their days. They did endless crafts, enjoyed new themes each week, played a variety of sports, and had excursions in the outdoors.
At the end of the day, it was often a struggle to get the 3 of them in the car. The children never left without a big hug and a thank-you. That's the best sign that your children enjoy where YOU have chosen for them to spend their days. I really can't say enough about Miranda Grant!
